Launois Pere et Fils – Quartz, Grand Cru, Les Chétillons

History of the family goes back to 1872 when the house of Launois Pere et Fils was founded in the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Now at their 8th generation. Located as well on the prestigious Côte des Blancs, the home of the very best Chardonnay grapes, , the vineyards are classified as “Grand Cru”: la crème de la crème.

Launois Pere et Fils – Quartz, Grand Cru, NV

A mineral Grand Cru, Brut (low dosage), NV, Blanc de Blancs Champagne. Its little and very delicate bubbles, due to a lower pressure inside the bottle. There are four atmospheres (59 psi) of pressure instead of the normal six (88 psi). That’s roughly three times the pressure inside a car tire. Indeed, quite similar to the pressure inside a truck tire.
