Charlot Tanneux – Cuvee Elia, Blanc de Blancs, 1er Cru, Vintage 2017

Champagne Vincent Charlot, aka Charlot Tanneux, Vincent went to Winemaking School in Alsace in the early 1990s, then he took over the Family Vineyards and started his journey of Organic Grower Champagne. 4.4 hectares vineyard, spread over 39 different plots in 6 villages. Each parcel is vinified separately in order to showcase its terroir uniqueness. These plots are all cultivated in organic and biodynamics, Demeter certified organic grower.

Cuvee Elia, Blanc de Blancs, 1er Cru, Vintage 2017

composition : 100% Chardonnay, From the vineyard located in Pierry Premier Cru, Clay-limestone soil.

After harvested in 2017, aged 11 months in oak barrel as first fermentation, then aged on lees in bottle for another 5 years, total 6 years.

Bottled on 27/7/2018 with bouchon & agrafe, disgorged Jan 2023, added less than 4g/L dosage, Extra Brut

Named after the sister of Vincent’s grandmother who was supporting him a lot in his winemaking vision and endeavor.
